Description Welcome to "The Circus!"

The Circus is a famous example of Georgian architecture in the city of Bath, begun in 1754 and completed in 1768. The name comes from the Latin 'circus', which means a ring, oval or circle.

Would have loved to have shot this with no cars, but short of an Apocalypse, that ain`t gonna happen.
Toyed with the idea to crop it to a Sq as that`s not the prettiest captured tree ever, but to me this still worked best in it`s original format.

Thanks for looking and supporting, hope you enjoy.

Very cool capture I dig the architecture As a lot of other people have already stated, this looks like the building is about to collapse

Incredible detail, my friend!

Did you now that if you put the shot on full view, put the cursor on the slide bad, click & hold it and move it back and forth really fast it looks like an earthquake?

I just wanted to tell you something you didn't know about your shot and someone else hadn't told you already

Really impressive. I just started to do some HDR. I wonder how you succeed to have pretty sharped people on the final result... Did you take one shot with them and the others without? (I'm in Bristol at the moment, I'll have to come to Bath sometimes, it looks great).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JonnyGoodboy In reply to Jellyffs [2008-06-27 22:35:40 +0000 UTC]

Hey you`re not far away, make sure you go
This was a handheld and the 3 exposures were taken in High speed mode (6.5fps on this Canon),so if people ain`t moving too fast, you can get away with no motion between the 3 shots..make sure to tick "Attempt to reduce ghosting artefacts" in Photomatix too

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jellyffs In reply to JonnyGoodboy [2008-06-28 12:49:59 +0000 UTC]

6.5fps wow.. I get it now. My D40 does a 2fps I think, so it's very hard.. Also, it doesn't have a bracketing function, so I have to change the exposure manually :/ I let you imagine how hard it becomes when trying an HDR without tripod Thanks for the explanation.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JonnyGoodboy In reply to Jellyffs [2008-07-01 21:38:54 +0000 UTC]

Wow,are you sure?
The D40 isn`t that old is it? I would think for sure it has an AEB function

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jellyffs In reply to JonnyGoodboy [2008-07-02 11:05:14 +0000 UTC]

Not that old it's true.. But yeah, it's the main critic you read about it on a few websites.. :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JonnyGoodboy In reply to Jellyffs [2008-07-02 16:43:13 +0000 UTC]

Well, you`ll be needing a Tripod for your HDRs then my friend

Almost looks like the building is leaning over and is going to fall on top of all those cars... that would solve your problem! Great capture my friend!

I found that clearing the cars away with a giant bulldozer will work wonders in a crowded area like that.

Great capture, btw did you get a close up of the two women holding hands?
