very cool! it makes me laugh for some reason. i think it's because the 'i hate you' is windy and wispy, like it's being whispered lovingly into the ear... makes me think. is it the subconciuous? i like it!!

Wondeful use of the gray wash to create the emotional atmosphere to carry thi image deeper than a surface view would usually warrant. It entagles the viewer and engages him into a micocosm of texture that reads like a great novel. Your images demand a better critique than many. So I must describe the internal reaction that usually leaves the lips as "This is so cool!".
As always, I am inspired by your imagery and its execution.

it seems almost a caricature of the legitimate angst that some of us feel, because of the obvious lips and the almost lyrical portrayal of 'i hate you', but the upset in the eyes seems so genuine, it's such a bittersweet juxtaposition. love this piece.
and you fucking did it by hand. from scratch. you talented motherfucker.

this piece feels more expressive to me than most of your others. the brown/b&w behind and around the head look fantastic. the white on the hair and neck, however, are too strong for my taste... they draw attention away from the more important aspects of your painting. great job all around.
