My wife purchased "Digital Painting Techniques: Volume 3" for Christmas. I'm going through the projects and the first one is designing a goblin. The book doesn't do the typical Tolkien style goblin so I didn't either. I went to a Japanese version, the Tengu. They are essentially the Japanese goblin but are winged crow like people.
