Sonic: Yeah, couldnt you take a flamethrower to the dress while she ISN'T wearing it in order to test it out? It seems A LOT safer.
Danny: Besides, the super-hero code tends to severely frow upon torturing and/or endangering innocent people; particularly just for a scientific experiement.

Edna- I already proved the dress in a test dummy; unfortunately, the final test has to be done in a living human being, to see if a person wearing the dress will not just be safe from burning but also from dehydration and other heat-related risks. That's also why I asked so many heroes to be here today, in case something goes wrong; Bugs can turn off the flames with a toony-summoned water bucket, Danny can use his freezing powers, and Sakura has at least a dozen cards that can turn off the fire. And, if she gets hurt, half of you has enough speed to take her to the hospital in less than one minute.
