Same here with Humberto Velez, who gave Homer his Latin American voice for years.

Mexican dubbing actors have a very good reputation all over the world. Lisa's voice actress, Patricia Acevedo, has quite a resumΓ©; Kissyfur, Princess Neeza (Ewoks), Casper, Angelica Pickles, Sailor Moon, Lizzie (Nigel's girlfriend in Kids Next Door)...

Kissyfur had his own series (named after him), and was a little circus bear; he and his dad escaped captivity and went to live in a swamp with lots of furry friends.

Is it just Pinbeak's interpretation of the theory or is Gadget unsually accomplished in a power usually found in Warner toons ?
The Warner kids, with having the least grip on reality, seem to be the most skillful at it.
Let's see if I gave the grasp right- in one lightning move, the toon would remove ALL clothes and tuck them into the hammerspace. Without breaking step, one would then "fritz" the desired outfit and onto the body in one move. It, as you said, takes practice and, generally, a Warner toon has this skill.

Jose-Ramiro In reply to EmmetEarwax [2010-02-16 07:59:33 +0000 UTC]
Yes, and also, many toons seem to have some of their most used outfits on the hammerspace so they don't need to 'fritz' them; just take them out while they spin and make a quick clothing change.

One of my characters, Honeybunch has the mutant power to duplicate things, and so has the name "Dupli-Kate" tho she has considered others. She can duplicate herself and is getting skilled at duplicating other things. Eventually she'll be able to "fritz" things just from memory or imagination. These duplicates last only 11 hours: Machine
Jack determined that with a duplicate of herself programmed just to sit there and wait: One duplicate actually didn't want to just go "poof" and devised a way to take over her creator's body - permanently. Naturally Dupli-Kate had to fight her ! So she makes sure that the duplicates only know just what they're created to do, not her entire memory or personality.
She uses dust and atmospheric moisture to make the doop,be it herself or some object. She can be neutralized by the absense of sufficient moisture and/or dust to use. I added super-powers to many of my characters, but this was just about the only one -not a Ruvian -that made the final cut.
Honeybunch's parents were passing "5 Mile Island" when the -incident-occured. Tho Earwing can fly and Dupli-Kate can copy things, Peter is normal...

Very interesting idea. Reminds me of a Jimmy Neutron's episode; he's working on duplicating stuff rather than cloning them, but the downside is that the original always disolves after a while.

EmmetEarwax In reply to Jose-Ramiro [2010-02-16 19:59:35 +0000 UTC]
Just like the "Quicklones" in the "Men in Black" animated series . A quicklone looks and acts just like the original person, after the machine scans the original and from the parameters quickly forms the doop. If the quicklone isn't killed by some hazardous situation, it eventually starts talking nonsense and then melts into so much GOOP ! Green goo !
But Dupli-Kate's copies always crumble into dust after 11 hours unless recalled or destroyed. She can make up to 5 doops before becoming powerless, until one or more is recalled or destroyed or collaspes to dust by itself.
Have you read "Who Censored Roger Rabbit ?" which says that toons in general can create doops to get smashed or mangled in stunt work. Roger Rabbit created a doop of himself (called doppels in the story) and was then KILLED in his living room by an unknown intruder. Now it was up to Eddie Valient and Roger's doppel to find the murderer, before the latter runs out of binding energy and dies in 72 hours. The doppel only had Roger's memory up to the point where he was sent down to the store to buy a bowtie of a particular shade of orange. When he came back, he found his creator dead, the place swarming with cops and now he had to see Eddie Valient before he started fizzing out. It's like "D.O.A."
Disney only used the skeletal premise -and discarded the doppel idea in favor of near-total immunity to harm- and wrote his own story with the characters.
