April's "aggressive" stance reminds me of the warning methods of two real life snakes.
The way her hands/extra heads fan up makes think of the hood on king cobras, while her tail opening up makes me of rattlesnakes with bit of peacock thrown in.
Overall, great design

It looks like she is warning Karai to not move any closer, if she did April will swing her tail to snap Karai's head off or attack her back. It is probably in the snakes nature to protect themselves from attacks.
