Excellent work with the modification here! One of the best of the contest so far in my opinion. Most definitely in my top 10. The whole world seems to go at an extremely fast pace while this partially submerged tree, although obviously dead, seems immortal. The city in the background and the fact that there is only one tree in here is also making this specific tree out of place and almost alien to us. That means the entire focus is given on the tree, no matter how the sky looks or if the city illuminates the background. That also means this is exactly the kind of shot a nature contest needs. Most definitely a strong photograph by a great, talented photographer! Good luck and congratulations on the great shot!
