The fifteenth and final weekly art challenge of season 2 is complete!
It was actually completed like... 2 weeks ago but I wanted to save the post for when after Inktober was complete ;3

This week's challenge was to "draw the antithesis of your OC/OC's - their opposite or inverse" by Kanniero :3

This big piece is quite special not only because it was the last one, but also because I worked with someone else on this as well :3
That legendary legend is none other than the legend, SeroTheHero!

The process was quite simple. We would split up the original version of a character and their counterpart to one or the other per pairing. Essentially, it would either go as me drawing the original character and sero drawing the counterpart or vise versa. We would also draw them in the same pose, mirrored, and/or interacting with each other.

The hardest part about making this was really trying to see what format we would go with and how time would be managed.
We thought of multiple formats, including a testing facility setting at one point, but then we realized, "oh hey, that's actually kinda freakin hard to do with just two idiots on the internet," so we decided to go with this movie poster-like aesthetic where all the characters would be a lot easier to move around and put in front or in back of each other.

We started it off with me drawing my assigned characters and I would send each pic to Sero and he'd drag them around and position them according to the rough sketch, then he would draw over that image with the characters that he was assigned.
However, that was only possible during the day before finishing the piece since Sero was unfortunately unavailable throughout this day the dang traitor
So for the rest of the pairings that were posted on the day the big piece was finished, I would have to draw both of them instead. So that explains why some of the pairings look like they were both drawn by me. Sero woke up some time later, put the last characters in, and here we go :3

This was one hell of a fun big piece to work on! And this has been one hell of an amazing season for the weekly art challenges in general!
Huge shoutout to Sero for organizing the big piece and proposing the idea in the first place, and even huger shoutouts to everyone who has participated in the weekly art challenges throughout the season!
This has been an amazing ride!
