In the early 1980s, I was a soldier in an Eastern Block army serving as a plotting board operator in an air defense command post. I have found it always difficult to explain to people how the workplaces in these secret underground places looked like. Photos from the Cold War era hardly exist. So, I tried to make a picture using the Midjourney AI engine. While this is of course no accurate image of the real thing, it actually captures the atmosphere of that place in a very convincing way
