The painting has a good sense of direction and flow. The clouds to the top right and the "curving" feeling of the landscape at the bottom really bring the eye toward the focal point, being this Castle Structure.
The simplicity-style of the painting is executed quite nicely, for the detail of the landscape and building is minimal - this being very interesting and unique.
The multiple tints and shades used on the castle wall is the most intriguing to look at, for it brings personality to the structure - that it isn't just a simple color.
Overall, this is a lovely piece.
