In the climax of the battle a group of San'Shyuum Reformists confiscated the ship "Forerunner" and left their home planet to later spread the Covenant dogma on other worlds.
According to their beliefs, the San'Shyuum based their fanaticism on the "Transcendence" that their gods achieved with the "Great Journey", proclaiming themselves "the voice of the Gods" and prophets representing the gods who would achieve spiritual ascension. (It remains to be clarified that the San'Shyuum Reformists misinterpreted the "Great Journey" as the self-exile that the "Forerunners" chose as the last destination to disappear due to their mistakes.)
