Shocked by the betrayal of his son "Magnus" and with little time to stabilize the web, the Emperor left the Keepers and the Sisters of Silence as the only line of defense against countless demonic hordes. Relentlessly the two legions suffered 90% losses but managed to hold off the demons long enough for the Emperor with his Psychic powers to seal the door connecting the web to the palace on Terra.
