My mother was obsessed with this face and painted it back in the 90s. It didnt look as good as yours. Its nostalgic to see it so clearly and you'v'e brought more energy and tangibility to it. I hope one day when we go to Mars that we build something like this as a tribute to our dreams of finding another race.

I'm very skeptical about the face on Mars being a real face, but it's still a fascinating thought to me. I like to think, if it is a face, why is it there? Here's what I think: We know life existed on Mars. It became this way because the core cooled and it lost its atmosphere. Imagine if you liked on that world and you knew the world was ending but were powerless to stop it. What would you do then? Build a massive monument that would last a million years and would last a million years. It would say to any civilization that found it "We were here. Please don't forget us." It's very bitter-sweet.
