Excellent work but... I have a small crit.... her left breast starts a bit further to her right side than needed. Right now her breasts look a bit pushed to her right side and there's too much space between her left shoulder and left breast when compared to the right side.
Other than that, breathtaking work ! and excellent colors !!

I would love to here the religious background to this one day. But this is very wonderful work. It must have been very hard to finish and even keep it going. WOW.

Cool, before i even read your description i thought it was something out of Revelation very cool, and yet very disturbing
your detail is crazy! well done!
the end of times, so very terrible, and yet so VERY awesome all at the same time, who ever said that the Bible was boring?

OMG I sooooooo want to do a picture of the four horsemen. Thanks for drawing this great pic. Is this the whore of Babylon with the beast? So much in Revelation that I can't remember what is where. Could you point me to the chapter?

ah you are the first one to mention the harlot with the beast yes you have it right. Her discription is foremostly in Revelation chapter 17.

Woman and the Beast. One of my favorite keys to the appocolips (sp) I can't tell you how scary it really is to how close you've gotten her comparred to one of my drawings from back in the day... but vary well done. keep up the amazing work!

i have to say its a very powerful imag, starting with the wonderful composition over the depth and to the colors you have used.
my only nitpick is that the person seems to be a bit off.
i often work the other way round, and i wish my backgrounds would be that gorgeous, because i mostly focus on the persons

I'm faving it because I really love the beast and the fact that you incorporated the red into its shadow. I'm not as keen on the figure, but good work on the colours and the comp overall.

Freakin Metal! It's a wonder that so few people realize how hardcore the Bible is. There's even a passage in Revelation's about a battle so brutal that the valley it takes place in will be filled with blood up to the knees of the warriors left standing!!
any way, if that's the whore of babylon, does that make this a picture of... The Beast and the Harlot!!
har har.. lame music reference is lame...

As a little girl (and a weird one at that), I used to get bored during church so I would read the book of revelation every sunday, over and over. I was so fascinated with the imagery in it, and always dreamed of painting some of it, especially the four horsemen. I had never seen artwork from revelations as a child, and I dreamed of bringing some of the vivid imagery to life. It was amazing for me to see this picture; it's beautiful. The only criticism I could even try to find, is that perhaps the face gets a little lost into the background, though that may have been your intention.

awsome piece of work I must say, love the fact that your so gracious to explain how you came to the amount of skulls.
because when I looked at the close up I went like is she totally insane, painting that many!! but on the other hand copy pasting turning
adding details must amount to a whole load of work on its own. so I bow down to you, great job. and thanks for sharing this art with us all.
greetz.

It's amazing. I'm really loving the glowy, and saturated red of the dragon/hydra-ish creature (not sure what to call it). The spiky teeth make it look really gruesome. The red also contrast nicely with the gloomy green skulls. The depth that you achieve with the skulls is really amazing and I think lead so seamlessly into the mountains and back again to the dramatic sky.
The woman of course is lovely and her jewelry design and the way her cloth moves in the wind are pretty awesome.
