Description
Austin is heavy goods engine built for the war department in 1943. He arrived on sodor that's same year to work as a good engine for ministry of defense which was previously located at tidmouth Harbor. He was a rather cocky and self assured engine who had a high opinion of himself. Always smiling in is cocky way. However after the war the ministry of defense was seen to have less and less work and was finally relocated to the Slate mines of the Skarloey railway. With the fort now being abandoned Austin was left alone in the shed. Years after he was rediscovered when the harbor was being extended. He was restored at Crovans gate works and was put back to working order. however and was more quite and reserved engine. The engine's, remembering how he used to be were not keen to work with him but after showing his worth he finally earned the trust of the engines and was given the chance to choose his own paint. he originally wanted to be painted in the LMR blue but decides to go with the Brown like Toby. Now he works as a good engine for the NWR pulling heavy and long goods trains up-and-down the line often seeing him in his quiet and reserved ways but if you look closely enough you might just see a smile in his face.
