Personality

Lhasa Apso was purchased from Royal Pirate Stable from when Annabelle de Lucy took a trip to look at P.R.E horses, and maybe buy one. She was introduced to Lhasa Apso, who she felt a connection to immediately. He was bought and brought to Sweden and his new home at Rosendal Stables.

Lhasa Apso is a a beautiful stallion with the future before him. He has lots of patient, is very adaptive to changes, likes to show off and be in the spotlight, playful and rather talkative.
He is like stallions are most, eager, but can also be very calm in different situations. He is rather curious of himself, and is extremely curious when it comes to visitors. He is very keen on meeting new people and is always nibbling after passing by humans.

Lhasa Apso can be tricky to feed, since he blocks the opening to his stall when you are about to go in. He can also be picky with his food, but most often he eats his whole portion, if there is some apples sliced into the mix.

He has a beautiful and muscular body, with a long straight mane, but with a slightly curly tail to go along with it. He was a powerful walk, where he lifts his legs nicely and collected underneath him. His trot is free and ground winning, and he is no problem making you sit down comfortably in the saddle while trotting. His canter needs some refinement, since he has a tendency to kick as he canters.

Lhasa Apso is very, extremely touchy and sensitive in his middle area. He is most likely both ticklish and sensitive when it comes to weight difference from on side to another. To saddle him is a challenge, just because he is ticklish. To mount him the traditional way is not to recommend. When the staff is mounting him, they have to climb up somewhere high, and jump up from there on his back. You cannot put you food in the stirrup and mount that way, because he will most likely run away, or kick.

Lhasa Apso is rather easy to handle and take care of. He just have his moments, but he is one happy horse, who just happen to have some bad tributes. Fetching in pasture is no problem, since he often when the night falls, is already waiting for you when you arrive to bring him in. He is a pleasant stallion in the stable, he never does anything offensive against the other horses who passes him by or is neighbors.

He has been ridden indoors, but this is something he doesn’t like at all. Every time you passes the exit, he will try to get out, even if the doors are closed. He is always looking at the doors, and does never settle down for work. Outside it is so much better to work him. Here he has no problem what so ever. Anything can happen, and he won’t bother to find out what just happened or occurred.

Lhasa Apso is a healthy boy who doesn’t have any medical history so far, and we hope he will keep it that way.

OH MAI GAWD! I thought I recognized those markings. It's a shame he's sensitive with the saddle.
Well I hope he has a bright future ahead of him.

First of all.. I thought it was a photo when I saw the thumb!
Second of all.. Aren't Alter Real a kind of Lusitano, not P.R.E?
And last, it can't be an Alter Real when RPS bred it. Quote; Irrespective of bloodlines, a horse is only a legitimate Alter Real if it was born on the premises of the Alter Real stud in Alter do Chao. or am I wrong?

None the less.. AMAZING drawing as always! Gotta say that I love your art. It's realistic and yet so.. Jullelin

He is gorgeous!
Just a question, how can he be a P.R.E. Alter Real? Alter Real are Lusitanos...
