Description

Tleilax is the homeworld of the Tleilaxu in Frank Herbert's Dune series. It is described as earthlike with lots of vegetation, but also large factories in the urban areas. For this render, I gave Tleilax lots of green and purple vegetation and positioned only a few, albeit large city structures on the continents.

This fan 3D render of Tleilax was created with blender Cycles. All textures were procedurally generated. The lighting of this planet is supposed to represent the actual lighting of Tleilax based on given information and sense.

Tleilax is in the Theta Eridani system, a binary star system with a bright and an even brighter star. For this render, I put Tleilax in a S-type orbit of Theta Eridani A within a distance of around 20 AU. Even though Theta Eridani B is not too close, it still has an effect on Tleilax because of its luminosity, which is represented in the render.
