I miss those simplechildhood days when
all it took to make
a friend was to say:
"Hi, my name is so-and-so. Wanna play?"
Now making friends
is so complicated―
unless you've got all the
name brand clothes or
roll with some distinctive clique.
Don't fit in here,
don't belong with this crew or that.
Even among people like me―
"nerds"― there are sub-cliques.
Admittance is not free.
Man...high school is rough;
I guess I'll just sit here
and actually learn something
instead of talking with friends.
