So I watched Utawarerumono today. Or, you know, most of it.Here's a summary of my reactions.

Haha, yeah. It's kind of an obscure show, but I've seen cosplayers from it now and then, so at least SOMEBODY knows it.
AND YEAH. I think there are a great many anime that just kind of do this whole SNOWBALL THING where it starts out with a good simple premise and then everything just keeps getting more and more ridiculous until you're just not certain you can believe it anymore. xD

The mecha was totally unexpected and toward the end. Mostly it is fought with like pitchforks and swords.

wtf xD I still say my most recent fav Mecha series is Gurren Lagann! still havnt found one that tops the awesomeness of that... been kinda out of the anime loop as of recent

Gurren Lagann is one of my top anime ever. If you're looking for good mecha anime, you might check out... I dunno, a lot of people like Code Geass? -shrug- Mecha's not really my scene unless there's a great story behind it.

Yes this is true. But it was a great show nonetheless. Another anime you should watch the entire way through if you haven't already: Desert Punk. Such a funny anime. It's dirty, but oh so hilarious!!!! ^_^

I've got friends who've seen that one. Right now I'm planning to watch a few others I have handy, like Bakemonogatari, Serial Experiments Lain, and xxxHolic. Just... stuff on my external that I haven't seen before!

There are actually only minimal fish involved, and usually they are being eaten.
I didn't want it to be too spoilerish, so that people who want to watch it wouldn't be all like "AUGH IT IS RUINED FOR ME NOW"
Basically, it is about a man's journey to find out who he is while protecting the ones he loves.
