Description
Planet Nine is a hypothetical ice giant sitting at the edge of the Solar System. It was originally hypothesized in 2016. Planet Nine is thought to be responsible for the eccentric and inclined orbits of Sedna, 2015 TG387, 2018 AG37, 2018 VG18, 2012 VP113, 2013 FY27, and many, many more Extreme Trans-Neptunian Objects(eTNOs). While there have been many searches to try and find this elusive planet, none have been successful. However, a possible mission to Uranus could end up proving Planet Nine. If Planet Nine exists, it could have a subtle effect on the Uranian probe, tugging it into its direction. Furthermore, an observatory that is being built right now in Chile, which is said to be completed in 2024, will be used to search for Planet Nine.
