Description
I finally encountered an animal that isn't an arthropod which is appropriate for macro. This is a Green Frog (Lithobates clamitans) found in a horticulture garden. Thank you FutaFairy (futafairy.deviantart.com/ ) for the ID!What gorgeous eyes it has. You can clearly see the details of my homemade diffuser in the reflection, including where I hastily taped it to the lens. This was shot at ~1:1 magnification.

It's almost certainly a green frog (Lithobates clamitans). Woodies ( Lithobates sylvaticus) have a striking black mask (they look like a goth went at them with the mascara brush in a fit of existential despair).
Great shot though.. Amphibian eyes are nearly as fascinating as the more iridescent insect ones. Imagine that kind of gold in human eyes? Beautiful.
