This is a little high poly modelling practice I did over Thanksgiving break and I finally got around to polishing and rendering. For the reference, I used a very preliminary image from a NASA presentation and payload planner's guide so some of the detail here I've taken artistic liberties on.

The model is of the proposed NASA Space Launch System Payload Attach Fitting (PAF) for the Blk 1B variant. The PAF acts as the interface between the launch vehicle and the comanifested payload. The USA-2 element encapsulates the comanifested payload/PAF and connects to the Orion CM/SM on top and the EUS below.

Rendered in 2K, 30 FPS for the animation. Model has 40,073 verts and 30,679 faces. Procedural texturing + decals.
