Just trying out a different photoshop technique for painting, works pretty nicely. Took a bit longer than I thought though, kinda had to do with fuzzing around when you're not 100% sure what you actually want, or how to get it out on the canvas.
Anyway, need to refine this more, it's pretty fun.
Done in PS6

That thing is EPIC! The flecks coming off the blade are intensely cool, and the lens flare is actually rather tasteful and lends to the imposing feel...
How does it walk on such tiny feet though? It looks like it would fall forward at that angle.
