Sitting on the couch, watching life goes by over the pc screen . one day it appeared.A small wound that bled whenever I touch or thought about it.
I left it aside, as bruised i believe it would heal. Eventually.
But this was not like a normal wound, a simple scratch on the skin, a cut or a tear.
It was imaginary. She was . . .
A ghost, a painful echo it took to be deciphered ...
Sometimes weeks went up and I thought it had healed, but then it throbbed and bled.
Dripping blood and memories, to settle pain and close again.
Sometimes not go away ever.
Those were the worst times, when the pain accumulated and exploded when my world came down with her weight, her curse.
After years, I learned to live with this wound.
A ghost of my soul that keeps me company, drags me when I believe have gone far.
A chain around my wrists, guiding me and bringing me back to her side.
I learned to love the pain, that wound. I learned to let her drag me wherever, without complaining.
Live around the blood and tears, the pain of reality welcome.
The reality that I chose. She reminds me of that.
Sitting on the couch, watching life go by, I think of how these months have flown.
How much of that was intentional? Avoiding life, being someone else?
How many wounds healed and how many were opened?
