Oh boy, Age of Extinction. This film is where the Bayverse franchise started to deteriorate further, and the unfortunate implications have reached up to eleven here. And it shows. While I can't deny the positives are eye-catching, everything else is a massive downfall to the point you question, "What's the point of all of this?" In terms of plot point, it demonstrates Sentinel's impact on the events we see here. And Optimus's reaction to this is genuinely justified, and getting hunted increases the tragedy. While the Autobot plot isn't the best but intriguing to an extent, everything else is filler at best. I acknowledge the Creators/Quintessons' sub-plot, but its more continuity problems.
