Otherwise known as "Scene One: Beating Art Block."
You know that tutorial I promised you guys about Mew?
Well, here's Scene One. I split it up because it's going to be so huge-- I mean, come on, this is just the stuff before I begin any work! Plus also I wanted to work on my comic-layout-aptitude.
Anyway. I can't say this will be finished anytime soon... it's been slow going so far. I've been working on this since I posted my life-size Mew, and it's going to go all the way from this-- inspiration-- through pre-production and materials, making the armature, the actual process of needlefelting, the progress pics I took during needlefelting, final coloring (the eyes, the pink...), then photography, and finally post-production. So basically everything that I need to submit a deviation properly.
... Uh, any critiques would be nice. I was going to re-line everything, but then I realized how intensive that would be. So I just cleaned up some earlier lines and took this cartoony style for the tut.
Sorry it's so pink. I just started with the title, and then everything went rosy from there.

I didn't realize that I didn't even comment on your first one!
Well, take everything I already said (basically) and then add the fact that I love the way your mind works...this made me giggle
I like the sketchy-ness of it. It gives your process a "real" feel as opposed to something that has been edited and finalized. No one can think that neatly

Hehe, again, thank you.
Well, that's probably a good thing. That's an interesting thought in general. It'd be interesting if I implemented that in an actual comic--thought being sketchy and unsure. Oooh. That sounds like a great basis for a social drama. XD

That does sound like a great basis for a social drama! I would definitely have to read it if you created one.

I actually love the cartoony style, having a tutorial set out like this makes it interesting and appear 'friendly' in a way instead of serious. x3

Yeah. I wanted to take a more story-based approach to tutorials than what most people did. Drag the reader in a little.
Sounds like I suceeded. Thanks.
