"Five years since the Empire fell and there are only two things that can happen to a former Imperial. Get hunted down to be imprisoned or executed by the New Republic or return to service for the various Imperial Warlords like the loyal dogs they trained us to be. I chose neither. I chose to live my days on the farthest corner of the Galaxy, away from the New Republic's reach. Away from everything. But even I can't run from that. Of all the people to find me, it had to be someone under the New Republic AND Imperial Remnant's payroll. Someone who was playing on both sides for the credits. Someone who dragged me across the Galaxy to steal from Imperial Warlords, kill the New Republic's hired bounty hunters and searching ruins of old for some artifact he would either sell, keep or destroy. Even now, I still don't know why I'm following this maniac around. Hell, I don't even know his real name. Everyone we meet calls him one thing or another. Me? He said I can call him Noel.
