I love Nick! He's so adorkable.
He's the "Ringo" of Pink Floyd.
Come to think of it, they do share some similarities.....
ROGER/JOHN - The snarky sardonic intellectual with a passion for Social Justice and humanitarianism yet is a bit of a jerk who's a bit weird with women. Main songwriter who does mostly "Deep/Cynical/Snarky/Darkly Humorous/Angry Songs".
SYD/PAUL - The "Cute One". Main songwriter who did mostly "Silly Love/Gnome/Cat/Mouse/Outer Space Songs".
RICK/GEORGE - The quiet, handsome one in the background who's a talented singer and songwriter but who never got enough love from his bandmates.
NICK/RINGO - The funny, dryly-humorous, goofy-looking drummer guy who's a nasal & mediocre singer, usually on the periphery and tends to be the most stable, down-to-earth one in the group.
I guess David replacing Syd could be a nod to the "Paul Is Dead" hoax. David is the non-existent "William Campbell"....only he looks nothing like Syd (though still 'The Cute One').
