10.Spider-Byte (Margo Kess)
Spider-Byte originates from Earth-22191, where most of humanity escapes from normalcy through powerful virtual avatars. Margo Kess strives to be the exception by hacking the system and turning into a curious take on Spider-Man, who's primarily tech-heavy. In this sense, Spider-Byte doesn't do any physical fighting in Across the Spider-Verse, but she's a vital player in Miguel O'Hara's utopian Spider Society. Spider-Byte's tech prowess is responsible for the machine that returns various anomalies to their universe of origin. This device is essential to keep the Spider-Verse in balance.

9.Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly)
Many fans were excited when they first spotted Ben Reilly's Scarlet Spider in Across the Spider-Verse's trailer. Ben Reilly is a contentious character in the Spider-Man canon due to how he's a byproduct of the Clone Saga and a Peter Parker mutation who temporarily replaces the original Spider-Man.
Andy Samberg's natural comedic sensibilities help accentuate Ben Reilly's melodramatic monologues and '90s-era angst and art design. Scarlet Spider is largely played for laughs in Across the Spider-Verse, but Miguel O'Hara turns to him when he needs extra support. He proves himself to be a top-tier member of Miguel's Spider Society.

8.Spider-Rex (Pter Ptarker)
Earth-66 is a prehistoric realm that features dinosaur versions of some of Marvel's most beloved characters, including Pter Ptarker, Spider-Rex. Spider-Rex is only in Across the Spider-Verse for a few minutes and is used to comedically punctuate Miles' exclamation that matters can't get any weirder in Miguel's Spider Society.
Spider-Rex joining the assault on Miles occurs during the height of chaos in Across the Spider-Verse. It won't be surprising if Pter Ptarker makes a more substantial return in Beyond the Spider-Verse as a dangerous battle mount.

7.Spider-Woman (Gwen Stacy)
Gwen Stacy's Spider-Woman was one of the standout Spider-Man variants in the original Spider-Verse film, and her character receives a satisfying upgrade in the sequel. Across the Spider-Verse is just as much Gwen's story as Miles'. Gwen learns a lot about herself, her family, and what she wants out of life. Jessica Drew takes Gwen under her webbed wing and helps her further come into her own. Gwen's rhythmic skills as a drummer help her pull off some highly complicated web assaults that would be impossible with other Spider-Men. She's set to lead a full-on rescue mission in Beyond the Spider-Verse.

6.Spider-Man India (Pavitr Prabhakar)
One of the first new universes that Across the Spider-Verse visits is Spider-Man India's "Mumbattan," where the local Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, helps in Miguel O'Hara's pursuit of The Spot. Spider-Man India has some particularly inventive changes from his counterparts, especially regarding his "webbing," he's a unique Spider-Man to put on display. Spider-Man India carries a light-hearted demeanor and even jokes about how easy his six months of fighting crime have been. Prabhakar experiences a tragic reality check that helps him hone his skills, and it's easy to see why Miguel initially recruits him to be on his Spider-Force team.

5.Cyborg Spider-Woman
Across the Spider-Verse's climax involves Miles on the lam from hundreds of different Spider-Men. An incredible chase plays out in Miguel's futuristic Spider Society, which becomes a prime opportunity for niche character cameos. Miles almost gets crushed during his chase, where a mech-like Spider-Man appears to be attacking him.
This is actually Cyborg Spider-Woman, a variation on a variation, who is even an ancillary character by comic book standards. Cyborg Spider-Woman doesn't get any lines in the movie and plays an incredibly small role. Still, there's such exaggerated strength with this variant that she happened to make the shortlist for Marvel Legends action figures based upon Across the Spider-Verse.

4.Spider-Punk (Hobart "Hobie" Brown)
Hobart "Hobie" Brown, aka Spider-Punk, truly steals the show in Across the Spider-Verse. Daniel Kaluuya is clearly having such a fun time in the role, and how the movie visually captures Hobie's anarchic punk style makes him a constant delight to watch. Spider-Punk is initially set up to be an obstacle for Miles in his pursuit of Gwen, but Hobie's laid-back attitude is hard to resist. On top of everything else, he also helps save the heroes from multiple binds, and he's the only Spider-Man who turns a guitar into a weapon.

3.Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)
Across the Spider-Verse features multiple versions of Jessica Drew's Spider-Woman in the background of the Spider-Society, but the film crafts a unique take on the superhero. Voiced by Issa Rae, Jessica Drew is one of the top members of Miguel's Spider-Force, and she often feels the weight of the team's failures.
Jessica Drew confidently fights crime without a secret identity. She is unique in the sense that she always rides a motorcycle that she can handle, like it's an extension of her body. Jessica Drew helps Gwen, Miles, and other Spider-Men do their best work.

2.Spider-Man 2099 (Miguel O'Hara)
Spider-Man 2099's Miguel O'Hara first gets teased during Into the Spider-Verse's post-credit sequence. Miguel is the leader of the futuristic Spider-Society and has personally made it his mission to clear up any anomalies, maintain canon consistency, and protect the Spider-Verse.
Across the Spider-Verse curiously turns Miguel into as big of an enemy for Miles as The Spot. Miguel benefits from a technologically advanced suit, claws, and other impressive "ninja vampire" skills that help him stand out as an apex Spider-Man. He'd be the strongest member of the Spider-Society if not for the evolution that Miles Morales experiences in the film's final act

1.Spider-Man (Miles Morales)
Miles Morales is the de facto Spider-Man in the Spider-Verse trilogy's central universe, Earth-1610. Miles experiences a real identity crisis over the course of Across the Spider-Verse, but he emerges stronger than ever and convinced that nobody can stop him other than himself.
Miles' Spider-Man skills have grown more proficient since the events of Into the Spider-Verse, as has his confidence in the field. Miles has added even more abilities to his spider arsenal, like electricity powers and stealth camouflage, which give him an advantage over the standard Spider-Man variants
