Description
**Update: I can't believe i forgot to mention one tiny little thing about this! Dumbdumb! Anyway, what I also forgot to mention was that the crest that connects his helmet to his mask is a kyber crystal, as well. This isn't just another power source, however: this one was put here explicitly to aid in enhancing his intellectual prowess, and his control over the force. It's actually thanks to this crystal, and the oversized crystal generators on his shoulders he's able to channel electro-magnetic energy in a manner similar to Godzilla Earth, in order to fire corona beams. He uses the force to direct them anywhere he wants. Just thought I should leave that out there for you guys. Merry Christmas again.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I imagine noone ever thought it possible. That it would only ever work by just taking vader's suit, and slapping it on Godzilla, or something. Noone could ever make anything original for a kaiju version of the sith lord, and make it look epic, did they?
Well, i've proven them wrong.
As promised, i've begun working on some Kaiju Star Wars projects in accordance with the release of The Rise of Skywalker. And who better to start with than the poster child of the franchise? What's more is that I figured out a way not only to make him unique: i've also figured out how Spacegodzilla, whom i've always considered a possible Vader equivalent, could exist in a Kaiju Star Wars story. So a bit of exposition for your reading pleasure.
Legendary Godzilla is the un/lucky candidate I chose to play as Anakin Skywalker, with Godzilla Jr (my version) as Luke Skywalker. And Obi-Wan Kenobi, most fittingly, is played by Kong. And let's just say their duel doesn't simply end in Anakin losing all but his metal limb, and getting burned alive. Sure, that last bit still happens, but not in the way you think. Kong Kenobi actually cuts him in half Frieza style, so he loses his other arm, and his entire lower half. But not before he force-punches him in the chest so hard, it actually breaks through flesh and bone, and destroys his dorsal plates. His chest wound heals as they fight, but then Kenobi has the high ground, and the rest is history. After that happens, he's exposed to plasma flames that ignite via his blood, and encompasses his entire body, and his insides are boiled alive. So while movie Anakin got it easier, Goji Anakin is horribly damaged both inside and outside - his own healing factor pushed to its absolute limit to keep him alive. Thus, much more drastic means of cybernetic reconstruction are required to save him.
And our Emperor Palpatine aka Darth Sidious, played by none other than KOTM AND Shin Ghidorah, do just that.
Now, after many grueling hours of agonizing surgery, and retrofitting him with life-support tech, and combining it with a new suit with several power sources, Anakin Skywalker is officially dead, and Darth Vader is born. He has a respiratory collar in combination to a breathing mask made to look like a hellish skull. Hell, his entire design is meant to inspire fear in the enemies of the sith, and those "horns" certainly give an edge. And with his dorsal plates gone, and his open chest wound now prominent after his plasma torching, he had machinery implanted in his torso to integrate with his damaged organs, and energize his nuclear core with yellow kyber crystals, as well as power his entire suit. And with his spines gone, he draws more energy from a pair of huge, artificial kyber crystals attached to his shoulder guards to regulate his energy as his scutes did, I imagine.. The rest is an ultra-strong fabric meant to cover all the nasty cuts and burns on his body, along with the mechanical parts. Even his tail is mechanized, and outfitted with crystal to give Lord Vader as much power as possible. As a Godzilla, he requires ALOT of energy in order to maintain his lifeforce. Thus, the need for so many kyber crystals to fuel him in his damaged state. Either way, the end-result is a living, walking tank that can tear through enemy ranks like real tissue paper.
The design concept is actually a hybrid of several others. Aside from the obvious Vader design, and Spacegodzilla basis, I also added in that life-support brace that belongs to All For One in "My Hero Academia. His crest and horns were inspired by the Spacegodzilla made by Blabyloo229 . That Spacegodzilla, also known as Conquest, had a bit of a vader vibe to him, so he was good source. The red machinery is actually based on the torso of the Spacegodzilla made by AVGK04 in an ultimate form. With some minor modifications, I made something that resembled a chest piece with metal tubes going everywhere to power the suit. Some of the armor, like the blade on kaiju vader's right arm, was inspired by Kosei Godzilla, made by DalekMercy . To best describe him is to call him a warmonger with complex origins and motivations, aside from revenge.
Mix it all together, and you get the newest incarnation of the Dark Lord of the Sith of the original trilogy. As awesome as Vader's average design is, it wouldn't be enough for a kaiju-based adaptation. And Spacegodzilla deserves antagonistic attention, as well. So two birds were offed with one stone. Consider this my christmas gift to everyone here on DA, and I hope you all enjoy it, as much as anything else I come up with.
Merry Christmas, and a happy holiday/new year.

But back then it was actually a bad thing: when Vader does it, it's a good thing because it means our heroes have the chance to beat him.

Merry Christmas to you too, bud. I'm glad you love this design. I actually had more than enough to work with for designing him, but it was actually combining all of those elements together to make this that was an epic challenge. The results pretty much speak for themselves.

Next up, i'll either do Luke and his friends, or The Emperor. And I meant what I said about his depiction. Aside from it being King Ghidorah, it's both monsterverse AND Shin Ghidorah. He's kind of a fusion of the two in a sense.

Glad you like it. The idea is that he starts out as Monsterverse Ghidorah, but during his fight with Mace Windu (whoever I cast as him), he unleashes "all" of his power on him through his gravity bolts. Yadda-yadda, he gets it redirected back at him, but it's not like simple force lightning. As we all know, Ghidorah's energy attacks are equivalent to Godzilla, and are just as destructive. So when it bounces back on him, it actually damages his body. IN the process, he does his best to heal, even as he continues his attack. By the end, he ends up looking like Shin Ghidorah with Monsterverse wings and legs in tact. Shin looks like a deformed, and scarred version of KOTM Ghidorah, anyway, so it only makes sense to have HIM as The Emperor.

I forgot to mention his physical change is also a result of his connection to the Darkside. As his power tore at his body, he used the force to influence his regeneration to hijack the process, and give him his Shin Ghidorah appearance. As this would be the night the Empire rises, it only seemed right that Darth Sidious adopt a form befitting his status of power as the symbol of the Sith's return. He is and always was The Phantom Menace, and now at last the time has come to reveal himself to the galaxy - by ordering the death of the Jedi. If you manage to look at Shin close up, you can see the light deformation his faces have, and figure he'd be good for the role for The Emperor. Among other reasons I haven't named yet.

Cool. Can't wait to see them. I'm going to take a guess and say either Biollante or Gojirin for Leia.

Sure thing.......silly, dumb jokes aside. Though I honestly don't think anyone has ever thought of anything like this before - until now, that is. And that isn't me being boastful, i promise. It's just that i've looked around before, and not once have I actually seen a kaiju star wars crossover that had this kind of concept in mind. I always wondered why that was, when Spacegodzilla could be made to fit the motiff of lord vader perfectly. Just gotta modify and amplify his design so that two characters can exist as one. That's where I ended up coming in.
