Description
In Animation Concepts class we were given the assignment to take any object and make it over the top. We could change its form in all kinds of ways but it still had to have the same basic function as the base object.
I chose a prosthetic arm, obviously. I had lots of fun designing this one, I wanted to make sure that it still followed human anatomy in a really stripped down manner. The blue tubes are made of a material that contract depending on how much current is passing through them and the hinge at the elbow is powered by magnets, similar to those used in roller-coasters and bullet trains in how they work. One magnet repels while another further down attracts. Though I suppose if too much current were to pass through then the lower arm would shoot off. maybe that's a good defense feature..
