Near the end of their third run with Godzilla, TOHO studios tried once again to make their own superhero show which they have never really been lucky with, however this time around they not only succeeded, they were able to make a entire 3 part series that would be given the name the Chouseishin (Ultra/Super Star God) or just Seishin series.

The series started out first with “Chouseishin Gansazer”, the second was “Genseishin Justirisers”, and the third and final one “Chousei Kantai Sazer-X” and to finish it with a bang all of the hero teams from all three shows would come together in “Sazer-X the Movie: Fight! Star Warriors”.

Outside of the Godzilla franchise, this is one of TOHOs longest and most successful superhero series they ever made, it is quite the accomplishment in itself, one might even call it a “gem” in tokusatu fan-base.

Fun Fact: Both Gransazer and Justirisers did get an english dub-release in the mid 2000s but have been somewhat lost and there has been no known DVD or blu ray releases in the U.S. and there was talk of rebooting the series, but there has not been any word since (hopefully that will change and we get a release over here and see this series get a reboot, hopefully)
