Last year in May a report started that the Kaiju novel series ‘Project Nemesis’, by Jeremy Robinson would be getting a live action tv adaptation for Sony Pictures Television and Chad Stahelski, best known for the John Wick series would be directing it.

Project Nemesis is a Kaiju thriller novel that follows the story of a young girl named Maigo who, along with her mother was unjustly murdered but she would be reborn, when her body is donated and used in a secret government project that fuses her with the DNA of a long dead giant monster that was found in Alaska. The monsters DNA mutates the girls body and goes on a rampage through America, growing, devouring, and destroying everything in its way until it bring vengeance to the one who killed Maigo and her mother, living up to her name as the goddess of vengeance, Nemesis.

The first book became a best seller and would lead into the making of 4 sequels (and a prequel novel), were Nemesis would fight not just humanity, but other monsters, mecha, and alien creatures that would give her the title ‘Queen of the Monsters’.

Nemesis would gain a well received popularity in the Kaiju community that she almost got a chance to be in a cancelled Kaiju fighting game ‘Colossal Kaiju Combat’ and comic based on the first book with Matt Frank being the artist.

There has not been any new updates since it was announced, but from some statements from both Robinson and Staheliski, this series will most likely come to fruition. All we can do is wait and see.
