Moving into the Heisei era of Gamera films and the genre-changing superb 90s Gamera trilogy, this is the High Grade capsule figure of Gyaos from the end of the film when it gets big enough to take Gamera on face to face. Gyaos is one of those inspired kaiju designs that manages to be simple, but the good kind of simple that emphasizes realism with small characteristics to set it apart rather than kaiju with crazy appendages or sci-fi weaponry. The first Gamera film of the new series took the best parts of the old Gamera and launched it anew in the best way possible, and I love how menacing and terrifying the Gyaos were here.
