You're probably sensing a pattern, but because the Doug that came packaged with Suko was a solid black with gold eyes, he was in desperate need of a repaint, and on the 7th day Kaijukid said "Let there be paint". While it's too bad that Playmates went so cheap with it, on the other hand I'm happy that I was able to purchase a Doug figure for $10 and give him a personal touch.
