Long ago not long after the arrival of the Elder things, the vampiric god called Chaugnar Faugn, soon appeared. He soon went about warping the primitive amphibians into horrible servitors called the MIRI NIRI who bring the god his victims whom he drains their life blood from. The more this elephantine vampire drinks the larger he becomes nearly 30 meters is his maximum.

All I know of this entrophic god is from the short novel "The Horror from the Hills" which is, in fact, a collaboration bet Lovecraft and Frank Belknap Long. Lovecraft sent Long a dream narrative of the destruction of a town in the Pyrenees, by unknown foces, in Roman times. Long decided that Chaugnar's brothers did the damage. He also decided that Chaugnar and his brothers were the same being, being hyper-dimensional. The part that got imbedded in our world became subject to entrophy and evolved that elephantoid form. The only way to eradicate Chaugnar was to reverse that entrophy ...
