Upon a once tropical Sogel island a group of strange beings, Rita Repulsa's putty patrollers and loyal Finster, searched amid a burnt and barren crater, until they found what they were after, hairs from the monster arachnid Speiga. Once back at Rita's palace, he ground the hairs up and mixed them into a special clay and thus crafted the horrible kaiju Spidertron, who was sent to lay in wait for the power rangers inside a statue. But the farce failed and the creature was detected by the rangers, but this was to little matter as the spider was more than a match for the five heroes and was near slaying them until a last ditch effort and the combination of their weapons into the power blaster sent Spidertron into retreat. Rita, undaunted, enlarged Spidertron to a huge 45 meters, causing the rangers to call on the dinozords and again face the fiend, but again the five individual Dinozords were no comparison to the monsters super strong web attacks and the dragonzord was called to battle and form the Dragonmegazord and put a hole through the Spidertron with the Dragon javelin destroying it.
