Tian Lung is an Asian dragon god form China...so I'm guessing he might be a male? But you have a point, judging from the color is could be a female.

My favorite thing about this is that its body is quite short but its tail and neck are very long. Details like that can make an eastern dragon into something completely new!

I've explained it in excruciating detail elsewhere, but I'll give you the abridged notes
I don't have any "issue" with dragons. I simply want our kaiju to have a modicum of originality to them. And I know how popular dragons are in this fandom, so I knew that we were going to get a LOT of requests for dragon kaiju. Going in, I had a "no dragons" rule because I wanted to encourage everyone to think outside of the box.
I don't want any literal dragons for the same reason I don't want a giant ape or a giant spider or a giant moth. Been there, done that. Now, if we can twist those concepts or make them more interesting, such as a scientist trying to recreate a mythical dragon using DNA from existing life forms, then THAT'S something to run with!

So does tht mean Kalani would get a pass due to her very not-draconic design and origins? Β Her ancester, Bahamut, is closer to the babylonian god, which was actually a galaxy-spanning fish with draconic traits, as opposed to modern depictions which were merely a heroic take on the normally evil european-style dragons[which I'm assuming, alongside the other familiar types of dragons like the Long from China and japan, are the types you're against having in due to being too simplistic/overdone]?

I'd say it can be, but I wouldn't really know personally since I just draw for fun.
I could, but I prefer only to do stuff like that if asked. So your character would be more than possible, although right now I'm only doing commissions (which are still fairly cheap). Regardless, I'm sure Matt and Sunstone have a plan for this stuff.
