since it burrowed in the movie it was in, and since its first comic appearance they had it be one of the burrowing monsters *and slightly more realistic than Anguirus or Gorosaurus in that regards* but Baragon is still built better for it.

This is awesome!! I've always wondered, is there any kaiju you've wanted to use but they don't allow you to use? Zilla Junior? Griffon? Mothra Leo? Bagan?

Why do people give Zilla such hate!? If anything his design and concept is amazing! It's the execution of the movie itself that was bad! People need to leave Zilla alone! He's awesome!

Agreed, the problem seems to stem more from the movie which was called "Godzilla" when the monster in it very closely resembles many "OC" reptilian/saurian kaiju designs, and had the movie called its self and its monster anything else it would have just been seen as another Godzilla knock "wannabe" like Gorgo or Gamera and likely, the backstory and design were so different that all they really used the license for was the name.
but in the end its not really a bad monster design, just got put in the wrong movie.

people say this, and I used to say this too, but I can't help but feel even if they had done that and changed the creature to being awoken, it still would have received hate for the acting, the Jurassic Park inferiority complex, and the monster being so different from the Rhedosaurus.
