I don't understand how there can still be so much hate on a monster that was made 15 years ago, and has been amended to "correct the mistake" for 9 years. GINO has been dead for almost a decade people. Toho made sure of that by giving the bitter fans a token Zilla public flogging in Godzilla Final Wars and clarified entirely that Zilla is a totally separate monster from Gojira. Zilla is just like Titanosaurus, or Gorosaurus, or Manda, or Baragon. He is another monster running around.
I really hope Zilla becomes Godzilla's ally after they have a really awesome fight. Zilla would be an incredibly powerful ally.

Seconded on both counts...even if Z strikes me as more versatile than hard-hitting. He'd be great for flushing out agile/stealthy/subterranean combatants who'd otherwise give Big G fits.

the fight ends with both of them realizing that one eats radiation and one eats fish. they agree to leave each other alone for the most part and terrorize the populace 3 days a week each with alternating thursdays. Both are too awesome to have a conclusive victor.

Actually if this is the Animated Zilla, we would be seeing a very close match up.
If it is the Zilla from the movie, no contest Godzilla, but Zilla Jr is a very capable fighter. Fast and tenacious, and Zilla Jr has shown intelligence and could pull off a win against the slower, heavier, and albeit more powerful Godzilla. It would be like putting up a WWII battlecruiser up against a WWI dreadnought. The battlecruiser is faster, newer, and can strike quickly. The Dreadnought hits harder and is better armored.
