I'm going to be upfront. I hated the 1998 Movie, but the show that spun off it almost makes up for it. I loved it.

Well... technically if you consider the show in canon with the movies, than Zilla sort of got a conclusion in the 2004 film "Godzilla: Final Wars."
Though... it wasn't a happy conclusion.

zilla already died in the 98 movie ..
this is zilla junior and (correct me if iΒ΄m wrong) it has not been said that in the final wars movie it was zilla junior who was killed off
rather the japanese reinterpretation of zilla .. ..
so it would be difficult to consider the show canon with the movies .. if it was zilla in that case there would be no zilla junior ..
if it was zilla junior than he was not presented in how he was in the animated series .. it would be again a japanese reinterpretation ..

One of the only two redeemable points of the 1998 movie. The other being Toho re-branding him as 'Zilla and having the OG Godzilla whoop his ass in Godzilla: Final Wars.

People really dump on that movie. I like it and the cartoon series. Godzilla is Godzilla to me. I've beenΒ a fan since I was little watching my father's VHS recordings of the movies from way back, the first one I ever really got into was Godzilla VS The Sea Monster. Others I liked include, but are not limited to Godzilla VS Gigan, Godzilla VS Monster Zero, Godzilla VS Mechagodzilla, Godzilla VS The Smog Monster, etc.
