so this looks wayyy better from like...REALLY REALLY FAR AWAY. ah hahThis was an assignment for my digital illusration class! It's my first time taking digital arts as a class~ My teacher really likes me :'D So I was very happy this semester! :) I will be posting some of my assignments on my website ; in case some people are curious as to what I'm up too during my absences! x)
The assignment was: illustrate what you felt/an emotion during a first time experience.
It also involved the complete bastardization of textures using textures and photoshop filters that we learnt in class.
I really wish I spent more time on the main figure. Not too fond of the skin colouring..it's too...uh.2-D?...but oh wells!
Hopefully I'll have time to paint a lot during the break!

We had to just use any filters that we learnt in class (stuff like masks, levels & curves). The colours was my touch! x)
Since it was the first class we learn the basics! A lot of photo-manipulation and brushes! We are getting into digital painting next semester! *so excited*

This is like 'it's party time!' embodied in a drawing, which basically translates into AWESOME. The mix of emotion you managed to get into the figure's expression is probably the most impressive thing to me; it's perfect for experiencing something new and realizing that you love it. So great~

Okay, so usually I like to detail exactly what I like and don't like, except I honestly love everything about this picture. The colors are like a happy acid trip, but they don't overpower the figure. I love they way the eyes light up, like a little scared but "ohmigodthisisamazing." There's the way the colors flow, and there are so many different colors but they all mix together perfectly.
And I'm running out of words that mean "amazing" and "beautiful" and stuff like that. But really, you're one of my favorite artists on here for a reason.
