New design for my Uru...an interesting idea came to me regarding Zira and I decided to test it out.================================================================================
Uru - mate to Ahadi, mother of Mufasa, Scar, Zira, Dwala
Allegiances: rogue (choice), Ndona (marriage)
Uru was the princess of a land that was female dominated, far more so than the Queensland. Like the other female cubs, Uru learned that males were not to be trusted unless they were taught their place in life, that being as breeders, border guards, and cub-sitters.
How the Crown Princess ended up in the Pridelands is forever a mystery, but Uru finds herself being courted by the Crown Prince of the Ndona. Ahadi seems to be like nothing her elders had warned her about, but the brown lioness is stand-offish for a long time.
When she finally cuts him some slack, Uru finds that she enjoys his company. It is actually a pleasure to be with a male who is able to think and speak for himself. There may be their difference in opinions for certain matters, but in the end both lions can usually find a fitting compromise.
The day that Ahadi finally pops the question, Uru does not hesitate in her response.
Mufasa and Scar are born not long after the two lions are wed.
While Uru does love her sons, the Queen refuses to accept that Mufasa or Scar will be the next King of the Ndona. In her old pride, this simply isn't done! Ahadi does his best to remind his wife of the laws of the land, and Uru decides to keep her mouth shut...for now. But the brown lioness won't stop trying until there was a daughter who would sit upon the throne.
Her sons are not that old when Uru becomes pregnant again, and this times has two female cubs. The brown lioness is full of joy when both are presented as candidates for the throne (just in case Mufasa or Scar were to die or be rejected), but soon she becomes annoyed.
Ahadi loves all of his cubs, but he makes no move to change the line of succession from Mufasa to one of the two girls. At first Uru excuses this, but as time passes and nothing happens further, the brown lioness finally decides to give voice to her concerns.
Only to learn that Zira and Dwala will be either simple pridesisters or sent to other lands as betrothals. Mufasa is the Crown Prince and Ahadi will not go against the laws simply because of his wife's beliefs.
At first Uru is a furious mess, but she decides to take matters into her own hands. All four cubs are given special lessons. Zira and Dwala are taught that they are more important than their brother, while Mufasa and Taka are trained to accept the girls as being their betters.
Uru has several scenarios in mind, the first is that Mufasa becomes King, but then abdicates the throne in favor of Zira. If this fails, then there are other ways of making things work in her favor.
For quite a while the Queen's stragedy works, but soon Ahadi is able to convince Mufasa that males and females are equal and that the laws of the land must be honored. There is to be no exceptions that will give somebody an unfair advantage. Common sense also works its magic on Dwala who thinks their mother is nothing more than a silly lioness who clings to the past. Uru is unhappy at losing both a son and daughter to her husband's influence, but she does still have two children to work with.
Taka and Zira grow to be very close, which many see as being a disturbing kind of thing. The looks and smiles are far too sweet, too full of affection to be acceptable as normal sibling love.
Sarabi is a good distraction and Uru finds herself being drawn to the cub who is Mufasa's betrothal. In time the beige cub comes to ignore her mother-in-law and is able to further draw Mufasa onto the right path.
When her husband died, Uru was distraught. She may have never forgiven Ahadi for his refusal to make Zira his heir, but his loss was enough to make her fall into a deep depression and for once all four of her cubs were freed from her influence.
But for Zira and Scar, the damage was already done.
And soon Zira was exiled by Mufasa to ensure the striped lioness would cause no harm with her (often violent) tantrums.
Scar was allowed to stay, but secretly met and plotted with Zira and the hyenas. Soon the famed plot came to pass and Mufasa was dead, his son Simba chased into exile. Scar became the new King, but it wasn't long before Zira came calling. As Uru had once told them countless times, Scar gave Zira her birthright, but there was an unexpected catch.
His sister would be the Queen, but Scar still wanted to be King. Their mother never said anything about the two lions sharing power when the time came, in truth it would not work out. But Zazu made an interesting statement and Scar found himself declaring that Zira was now his mate.
At such blatant incest, the pride were disgusted and returned to accept Zira. At first the striped lioness was furious, even more so when it was clear that Sarabi was still given the respect that came from being the wife of the king. In time there was cubs born to the brother and sister, but only Nuka lived in that litter.
The second litter was successful in there being four live cubs, Vitani, Zuri, Kovu, and Tiifu.
Queen Uru lived for a long time after her husband's passing, but she was forever changed. It was only as she was dying that the brown lioness finally did something remarkable.
She admitted that she was wrong.

Well...this turned out quite interesting if i do say so
For those who are curious, Dwala is the brown lioness from The Orphaned Birds. and is the mother of Chumvi and Kula. They are the parents of the brown cubs from the Simba’s Active Play game. Mufasa and Sarabi were the parents of only Simba.
Then we have the Scar x Zira cubs, my least favorite pairing (but it turned out to work better than I previously imagined). I still refuse to watch the show, but it seems like Nuka’s TLG colors are now a better match to Kovu’s colors, so that makes them full brothers in my mind now.
Tiifu and Vitani get their mother’s tan fur, but Vitani and Zuri inherit Uru’s blue eyes. Tiifu also gets her freckles from her grandmother, but her and Kovu’s green eyes come from Scar.
I am guessing that when Zira is exiled for the second time, there is a custody battle. Simba doesn’t want to condemn her cubs, but in the end is only able to secure Tiifu and Zuri. Zira takes Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu with her (and end up forgetting her other cubs).
So, despite Disney’s best efforts...Kovu and Kiara are cousins, but that is actually more acceptable than incest between siblings.
