It's interesting you would execute an average spiral on this flower since the on some flowers, (such as sunflowers) the actual count of this portion of the flower obeys the Fibonacci sequence, which if this sequence is graphed it follows this spiral you produced on this flower.
Coincidence?

Needless to say the spiral of a conch shell as well as various other natural conditions obey the Fibonacci sequence.
1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55 etc.
You may remember I mentioned sunflowers earlier. You may, upon analysis, notice that there are two groups of pistil, which is the center of the flower. The inner most group is a collection of 34 pistil, the outermost is a collection of 55; on average with fair frequency.

That seems to be an admirable product a proper school system, to hide proper knowledge in a place which makes it hard to forget it so that later points of trivia (that would be now, jsyk) you get that "oh yeah" feeling rather than the "uh, huh?" feeling. Hands down, "oh yeah" "trumps "uh, huh?" even though most of the time the "uh, huh?" don't even notice that they're missing something in the first place.
That must be that elusive ignorance is bliss thing coming up from that hidden place... oh, my.

Fibonacci is found more in Math classes than science classes, though to be honest isn't taught everywhere; it's one of those things I found myself.

The reference to the Fibonacci sequence was the first thing I noticed about this! Even if it wasn't done intentionally, that mathematical formula for natural beauty clearly adds to the piece.

Niiiice. Fortunately science doesn't require us to understand it in order for it to occur, science in this sense being natural formations according to Fibonacci's numbers.
Good job though, way to emphasize the point on purpose and then not mention it for the sake of sublimation in your art; you are a true genius!
