Description 2011 was a big travelling year for me. North Carolina brought some great pictures (Another one to come from there), and Niagara Canada (Where this was taken). Butterflies are one of the most beautiful creatures and by far the most beautiful of all insects. This image was toned down in lighting in this new version and hopefully makes for better discussion.

I love how clearly you can see the veining on the little guy's wings. I absolutely adore most insects; I think butterflies are my favorite to photograph. This is a very nice shot. I like that you toned down the lighting, too; it gives it a much softer feel, more indicative of the seemingly simple and pretty nature of butterflies as a whole.
