So nowadays it seems these little, tilted treads for feet are a common design element in mecha, whereas 10 years ago it was all big clunky feet, some with folding toes like an ATAT. How did this new trend come about? Outstanding design by the way, it all looks perfectly believable from a mechanical standpoint.
