I've been having a bit of a conundrum regarding my online representation. The thing that troubles me currently is how it really doesn't have any meaningful properties to it beyond "uwu it fluffy and warm". There's very little...."me" to it.I recall someone mentioning how they find it cool if they can tell a person in real life by their fursona. But I already tried that and there's just....an intense screaming discomfort to the idea of a 1:1 visual representation of me??
But what about fursona-as-an-ideal, as an aspiration? No, dishonest, growls my subconcious. And this isn't meant as a dig in the direction of the those with ultrafit or otherwise fantastical fursonas, this is just my particular mind yelling rude things at me.
So, what? That kinda leaves me at a damned if I don't, damned if I do position with the current design and any possible fursona redesigns.

The thing is what you want from your fursona, you want just a banner? or something that represent you? or just a fluffy muzzle?
There is no right answer, I mean that it's you to decide what kind of fursona you like.
You can also make more than one fursona, if you think that one cannot represent you completly.
My point is to take it easy or at least to don't feel too bonded to a strick scheme. This is art, expression, if you feel to change the design or create a new one make it without much worring
PS I really like your actual fursona, because it is warm and fluffy but also have very feline expression like hissing and so one. So warm and fluffy but also razor and pround

What even IS a persona-- sometimes that's a tough question! For some folks it's a simple stand-in, for some it's wish fulfillment, for others it's something more personal and spiritual. It sounds like you put a lot of thought into the way you depict yourself, and the dissonance is allowed since you share so much personal/mental art. Do some thinking, give it time... perhaps experiment a bit? I'm sure you'll figure it out!
You certainly aren't alone. 12 years later Neo has served me well as a "flagship character", but our differences (in personality and lives) make things tricky. Oof!
