I'm thinking about trying this as a digital drawing. Eventually...I'm sounding like a broken record at this point, but I drew this forever ago, and I didn't have a good time to upload it. There's no real story behind this art. I just like the aesthetic of sailor Stuart, and I don't see much art emphasizing it.
Figures I go from hyperfixating on RJ, something I feel pretty comfortable drawing at this point, after 10+ years of drawing him over and over again, to something so radically different, I can NOT FUCKING DRAW this dude without references. At least I think I'm getting a tiny bit better at it. I'll show you a preview of my first EVER attempt at Stuart, no ref, and you can see how far off the mark I was when I actually humbled down and looked up the character:
