Matheo ran back home as fast as he could. The egg he carried in his arm was cold to the touch, thanks to the cold water that was hitting it earlier. He wondered how long it had been there. How long he had until the egg could be saved. He ran and ran without catching his breath until he finally reached the door to his house.
The pink wyngro screamed for his mothers. Nina and Jemik hurried towards their son and the blue egg that he was carrying. He explained how he found it while he was out in the woods and Nina quickly began to inspect the egg. With her earth magic, she carefully searched for any vibrations from within the shell. Any movement or heartbeat would be excellent news.
While Nina inspected the egg, Jemik brought over a blanket to dry and warm the egg in, hoping that it'd help. Both Nina and Matheo huddled the egg closely to keep it as warm as possible. As they did this, Nina could finally sense a heartbeat pulsing inside the egg. The three sighed in relief and quickly prepared to rush off to Dr. F's.
As they were about to step out, however, a tiny crack started running across the top of the shell. The three wyngrew froze as they witnessed a light blue beak pierce through the eggshell and release a tiny cry.
