[Elsewhere, in Toad Town, Kas Dee was distraught over what had happened upon realizing it. Those cultists didn't know, but he knew who he had killed in a blind rage and felt intense guilt for it and while Sonic was fighting the Giga Blamclops, Kas Dee ran away. Bandana Dee approaches him.]
Bandana Dee: Finally, I found ya. (walks next to him and pulls out a bag of chips) So how much longer are ya gonna do this whole stubborn act, huh? (begins eating)
Kas Dee: I'm sorry if I caused you and my sister any trouble...
Bandana Dee: Seriously? Doesn't sound like you at all.
Kas Dee: Hmm... Yeah, you're right. I guess I just don't care anymore... I can't remember what I thought was so important... What was worth protecting, you know... It's all a blank now... It doesn't make any sense to me anymore...
Bandana Dee: Hey, come on.

[Some of the Dark Miasma that got into Kas Dee begins bubbling from parts of his body. Bandana Dee gasps and backs away.]
Kas Dee: Balance means good and evil have to zero themselves out, right? That's what you or Meta Knight said... Or something like it... I think I understand what you guys mean now... The good thing is that I saved a few people... But the bad thing is that I angrier and my heart filled up with envy, hatred and despair, all because of that Terrortraume... It got so bad that I even attacked some of my relatives...
Bandana Dee: Kas Dee, your body...!
Kas Dee: For all the happiness and prosperity you wish for someone, another person gets cursed with equal misery... That's how it works for most heroes and that's how it is for me...

[Kas Dee sniffles as tears start to pour from his eyes. He faces Bandana Dee with a resigned, sad expression as his body starts to turn gray and his eyes slowly turn light blue.]
Kas Dee: I was stupid... So stupid...

[The Dark Miasma wraps around him and emits a gale force that blows Bandana Dee back, causing the spear-wielding Waddle Dee to grab a tree to avoid getting knocked into the street.]
Bandana Dee: KAAAAASSS DEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

[Finally, the gale force stops. The Dark Miasma seemed to form a cocoon around Kas Dee, but it unfolds like a pair of wings, eventually BECOMING a pair of wings, albeit slimy ones at best. Kas Dee has transformed into a Husk known as Fallen Angel Dee and is screeching as he flies off of the ground.]
Bandana Dee: What the hell...?! What ARE you?! What have you done with Kas Dee?!

[Fallen Angel Dee flies off towards Gurlgetham's Casino, screeching his head off. Bandana Dee follows the monster in hot pursuit.]
